Finnish international Matti Peltola , a free agent, is in D.C. United's radar. They have acquired his MLS rights from  Minnesota United for up to $75,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money.

This morning Troy seemed optimistic that he can be added to the Black-and-red but there's some paperwork to complete. 

He formerly played for the HJK, Finnish team, but his contract expired January 1st, 2024. He's currently 21 year's old and his transfer market fee is €600,000.Peltola is a defender that can be utilized as a midfielder. He's right footed and is 6'1 tall (1.85m).

He has played 8 games across all European club competitions , scoring once in the Conference League. He has 5 appearances for Finland's national team and 5 for Finland's U-21.

He could be a great addition to the Black-and-Red as he is a versatile player that can play Center back and defensive midfielder.
